Volunteers

The Heart of our Organization

Volunteer Today!

There is something incredibly therapeutic about working with the horses and helping those who benefit from the riding programs at Timmins Therapeutic Riding Association.
Please consider volunteering. The new season has now begun!
Volunteer training is available and will cover grooming, tacking, side walking, leading and mounting.

This is great training if you plan to help out with any of the programs or special events not to mention great therapy for yourself as well. Please download a volunteer application, fill in the form and bring it with you when you come.

We also need volunteers to assist with our Riding Programs, to be leaders and sidewalkers, who walk along our riders, to be an extra set of ears and eyes ensuring rider safety. Students can earn community service credit hours. Spring session - May, June, July

Volunteer at Special Events, which are key to fundraising efforts needed to keep our programs going and to ensure affordability. Volunteers are needed to help with our annual Country Jamboree Family Day held in June.

Another great opportunity to lend support is through volunteering at our Bingo that takes place twice monthly from 11:30 am to 1:45 pm at the Timmins Gaming Centre.

Review the Volunteer Handbook for more information and if you have questions please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Charlene Morin. See Contact Page for contact information.

Horse Sense:

A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong, powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us a wonderful sense of freedom. - Anon
